Honeysuckle, juicy apple and a touch of white peach all come through in a round and smooth wine with instant appeal. The finish remains bright and tangy. The back label indicates this is medium sweet, but it is so perfectly balanced between sugar and acid that it seems just barely off dry and could well accompany a spicy Thai noodle dish or other peppery entrée.

This is just sweet enough to serve with a light, fruit-based dessert, or simply chill and enjoy as an aperitif. Loaded with fresh fruit flavors of peaches, apricots and pears, it’s quite juicy, and the sugar is nicely balanced by ample acidity.

This medium-sweet wine pays tribute to a style that seems to be vanishing from most “serious” portfolios in favor of the dry Rieslings that can often be more versatile with food. But in Oregon the natural acidity serves as a counterweight to the sugar, and though this reaches just 8.4% alcohol, it is fruity more than sugary, with plenty of snap and tang in the finish. Golden apples, golden raisins and a dash of molasses set up well against acid-driven flavors of Meyer lemons
Not a very aromatic wine; nose of grapefruit, pear, and honey. Palate starts off with the tastes of sweet tart apples and pears with the sweetness of honey
