The 2021 Pessimist is a blend of 75% Petite Sirah, 10% Syrah, 11% Zinfandel, 2% Lagrein and 2% Malbec matured for 10 months in 60% new French oak. It has an opaque ruby-purple color and lush scents of cassis, blueberry jam, violet, lavender and hints of powdered sugar. The full-bodied palate is supple and fresh with gently candied fruits and a satisfying finish. This will be a crowd-pleaser.

Deep ruby-purple, the 2020 Pessimist is a blend of 62% Petite Sirah, 18% Syrah, 18% Zinfandel and 2% Lagrein, matured for 10 months in 60% new French oak. It's scented of black cherries with touches of purple flowers, graphite and grilled meats, and the medium-bodied palate is grainy and fresh with a long, perfumed finish. This offers fantastic quality for the price.

A blend of 74% Petite Sirah, 13% Syrah, and 13% Zinfandel, brought up in 60% new French oak, the 2019 The Pessimist gives up loads of sweet blueberries and barbecue notes as well as more violets, spice, vanilla, and candied flower nuances with time in the glass. Beautifully textured and full-bodied, it has a rounded, opulent texture and a great finish. It's a sexy fruit bomb to enjoy over the coming 3-5 years.
