A selection of top lots from Knights Valley, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Reserve offers more dark fruits and cassis notes as well as hints of graphite and scorched earth. It’s a step up over the Vintner’s Reserve, is medium to full-bodied, has good concentration, and outstanding length. Drink it over the coming 5-7 years.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Reserve is blended with 7% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot and was matured for 15 months in 30% new French oak. It has a deep ruby-purple color and pretty accents of cinnamon, violet, leather, dried herbs and bitter chocolate complementing cassis fruit. The full-bodied palate is concentrated yet fresh, with finely grained tannins, pure flavors and a very long finish.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Reserve is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot aged in 94% French and 6% American oak for 20 months. Deep ruby-purple, it offers cassis, vanilla bean and sweet spices on the nose with cedar, coffee grounds and blue fruit sparks. Medium to full-bodied, it offers great intensity and a firm, chewy frame, with just enough freshness and an oak-laced finish. This is approachable now but is a bit more powerful than the Vintner's Reserve in terms of both tannin and oak. This is for you if you gravitate toward a beefier style of Cabernet. 8,914 cases produced.

This California Cabernet is crafted boutique-winery style in small individual lots throughout the winemaking process for flavor distinction. Kendall-Jackson is committed to producing only the finest quality wines from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in California. This red wine exhibits aromas of lush, bright black cherry, blackberry and cassis. Round tannins provide a robust structure and supple mid-palate. Notes of cedar, vanilla and mocha linger on the finish. Pair with beef short ribs, lamb sliders and impossible burger. This bottled California cabernet sauvignon is 13.5% alcohol by volume.
